I have always liked The Learning Company's products, and their Learn to Speak Spanish Product Version 8.1 is no exception.

They are usually very good value for money, and cheap.

Learn to Speak Spanish Product Version 8.1 comes with four CD's, and a printed handbook.

The CD's lessons are structured as follows:

PRONUNCIATION: A Spanish language pronunciation guide is the first lesson.

BASIC: 5 basic lessons follow with greetings, introductions, common and useful phrases.

TRAVEL COURSE: Then come lessons that are useful for the traveller with phrases and situations that one might encounter in Cutoms and Immigration at the airport, getting a hotel room, taking a taxi, eating out in a restaurant. Also how to ask for directions in Spanish, visiting a travel agency.

INTERNET COURSE: More lessons are linked to the internet including Spanish slang, as well as lessons on other topics like Science.

CULTURAL MOVIES: There are alwo 10 cultural movies on Spanish, and Mexican topics.

The courses first cover vocabulary that is going to be used in the lesson, then look at a litle story. You can follow a dialogue with filmed sequences.

The text is shown below the movie as it plays, and you can click on words to see their definitions. You can see the phrases and sentences in action as the 'actor' speaks the part.

The Learning Company's course Learn to Speak Spanish Product Version 8.1 is very easy to use. I think a free headset came with it too.
