Map of Panama Central America

Location:

Panama is the most southerly country in Central America. As the narrowest point of the isthmus joining North and South America, its boundaries are more wet than dry!

To the north, the Caribbean Sea laps its shores, while the North Pacific Ocean beats upon its long south coast.

As far as land boundaries go, these are relatively short. Colombia lies to Panama's east, while Costa Rica is to the west.

Geographic Coordinates:

9 degrees 00' North, 80 degrees 00' West
